This is such a great article for parents and teachers because it reveals something that is so important in the lives of men – platonic touch. As a man it’s really hard to have touch that isn’t sexual but when I do see old friends or close friends, I always make a point to give them a hug. We need that loving, meaningful touch.

Honestly, if I wasn’t lucky enough to have Davy living with me pretty much full time and getting to cuddle him and have him sleep in the bed, I wouldn’t be as happy as I am. We have sexualized touch which is extremely unfortunate because there are so many forms of touch that are crucial to who we are as humans.
